Professor Dame Elizabeth Anionwu Phd, DBE CBE, FRCN, Emeritus Professor of Nursing at the University of West London. Now retired but still active, she is one of the 26 black female professors out of 18,500 professors in the UK. Professor Dame Anionwu was the Vice Chair of the successful Mary Seacole Memorial Statue Appeal and is a patron of the Sickle Cell Society and the Nigerian Nurses Charitable Association.
